The more you see footage of Pro Freebord riders making the difficult looks so effortless the more it makes you wonder why more people haven’t taken this sport up. It’s got to be the closest thing to snowboarding; only difference is when you crash it’s going to remove some skin which is probably what keeps most people away. For now we’ll just keep on watching, but sooner than later we’ll be giving it a go. Maybe the guys at Freebord will hook us up with a demo since we keep posting the videos? It’s probably that Red Killler Shark Watch he’s wearing, we hear the shark watches give skaters magical healing powers and help them stomp more tricks. Just saying.

We posted an early video from these dudes shredding the streets of Switzerland on Freebords, no here they are deep in Spain riding super sketchy windy road with cars whipping by them. I see a helmet and one of the guys is rocking gloves, but other than that these guys are running with very little protection. Looks like a ton of fun, but make no mistake this is balls to the wall gnarly. We’d like to thank CieloSurf for sharing this video.
Just as the image says, here’s a few clips of Ryan Connors skating before he broke his foot. This kid’s progression is amazing. Sky is the limit, but first he’s going to have to heal up his bum wheel. We are sending healing vibes into the universe now.
This Friday, October 15th, YAC presents Skate Demo at Dick Guthrie Skate Park in Clairmont, CA. We are throwing down a couple watches for the best trick contest Cellular Skateshop and Robot Guts will also be hooking it up. Pull some tricks like Ryan Connors and you might be walking away with some swag. Good luck.

Ryan Conners living up to the age old rule that you have pay to play. In skateboarding those payments are usually in the form of painfull crashes. In this case, Ryan found himself in the unfavorable Scorpion position. Ryan said it didn’t really hurt that bad and that it was actually funny in the end, but then again this kid is way tougher than you and i.
Our boy Kevin Ice is hosting another one of his Butler Progression Sessions. It’s going down at the Father Marinaro Park in Butler, PA on August 21st, 2010 starting at 1pm. 20$ entry fee, winner takes all with prizes and contest giveaways for riders and fans. This is a community event, so come out and support the the Butler action sports scene. Big ups to Kevin for putting this contest together for the riders in his community!

Snowboard the Streets Lately?

Didn’t think so, but here are some dudes that have. Looks like a hella fun time, but at the same time the consequences look like hell too. When you go down you’re not falling on water, snow or even ice, it’s just good old skull crushing concrete, which is why you’ve got to respect how fun these guys are making this look, not sketchy at all. So if you’re board this summer with no snow around, take a look at Freebord, and start snowboarding the streets. We’d like to thank CieloSurf for sharing this video.
