If you remember from a month ago when we posted a previous Peep Show girl PMS misadventure, also known as a near death experience, then this next near death exprience may not be so surprising. This maneuver is called rail slide to hit by car. Brutal, and like always the Peep Show girl bounces back like the energizer bunny to ride another day. 16 year old Spencer Whiting has been putting his time in at Mammoth over the past few seasons and this year he began his quest to land backside 1080 double corks. Not only is he pulling them now, he’s also found himself gracing the pages of the April 2011 issue of America’s favorite birdcage liner, Blisss Magazine. So what we are saying is that Spencer is ripping like a boss and you can expect to see and hear more from this kid from here on out. Oh and one more thing, practice makes perfect as you can see in Spencer Whitings Double Cork video.
Peep this amazing footage of a car hit by avalanche in Tahoe. To save you from having to listen to the homies small talking, just fast forward to about the 45 second mark. The comments on YouTube are very entertaining, mostly just bashing the homies for making fun of the situation as well as Tahoe locals telling the them to go home. At the end of the day, there really was nothing else for homies to do. Everybody was fine, nobody died and an amazing moment was caught on tape. The dudes can’t be that bad, they are rocking Alkaline Trio on the car stereo.
Nevermind this video is in French, the visuals are more powerful than understanding any language. Our friend Matthias Giraud is doing his best to live up to his name “Crazy Frenchy” in this first ever Ski BASE off the Matterhorn. As you will see, it is what Mathias called “the gnarliest ski BASE of my life” in which his ski pops off as he launches from the face of the Matterhorn. We are very glad everything came out ok. Matthias is busy filming for his upcoming documentary, “In the Shadow of Giants” and based on the intense nature of this clip, the documentary is sure to be epic. Now sit back and enjoy the next 6 and a half minutes watching life on the edge in episode 6 of Bon Appetit.

Sure this is initiated by a Russian Explosive, but it just as easily could be a skier or snowboarder dropping in an avalanche danger zone. If anybody can translate Russian, we’d love to find out what they are saying in the video. It sure does get quite once the avalanche runs through all the trees in the foreground. So Gnarly! Anyways, moral of the story is to always respect the mountains and take heed to any and all avalanche warnings.

Not many people in the world can say they have similar experiences to Matthias Giraud. He’s charging life at a whole other level than the rest of us. Rest assured his stunts are carefully calculated and planned, but it still takes major sack to point your skis off a cliff and put all your trust in the parachute on your back. Here’s some amazing footage all shot with GoPro HD cameras of Matthias Giraud launching Ski BASE off a cliff followed by an amazing avalanch. Darrah Reid-McLean vs. The Fence

Don’t watch this if you’re squeamish. But if you can handle watching bodily carnage then you’ll be amazed at Darrah Reid-McLean’s back/butt to fence disaster in Minnesota. Looks like things went horribly wrong from the beginning and she knew it was going to hurt. Good to know that after all those screams, Darrah Reid-McLean is fine and dandy. The crew reports she’s A-Ok and we say thank goodness for that.

Didn’t think so, but here are some dudes that have. Looks like a hella fun time, but at the same time the consequences look like hell too. When you go down you’re not falling on water, snow or even ice, it’s just good old skull crushing concrete, which is why you’ve got to respect how fun these guys are making this look, not sketchy at all.
