We are super stoked to announce we partnered with the good ole boys at Globe to help them put on the Sickest Event on the Planet.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect for us since we we’ve been running wild with the Return of the Raddest Watch Ever campaign. Globe puts on the best webcast in the business so be sure to log on to www.globeprofiji.com from May 24th – June 6th 2008 to watch the live action. Hopefully Tavarua’s famous Cloudbreak and Restaurants will be going off. Pray for surf so the top 44 surfers like Kelly Slater, Dane Reynolds, Jordy Smith, Mick Fanning, The Hobgoods, Taj Burrow, and The Irons Brothers can put on a show. We will be sending out bulletins when the action goes live…so stay tuned!
Freestyle’s youngest team rider, Tyler Gunter, just won the last event of the WSA season to nail down his 1st West Coast Champion Title. Not only did Tyler win, Tyler dominated winning all his heats through the final and 6 of 7 events giving him a 2500 point lead heading into the final contest. Congratulations Tyler! Keep on shredding!
Our boy Victor Done just put together a nice little video from some lowers sessions. Kid is ripping no doubt. Give it a look over and let us know what you think.
This is one of the craziest weeks at Freestyle Headquarters. With the VQS Championships happening in our back yard at 54th Street in Newport we’ve got all kinds of athletes dropping in on us. When they do we always make sure to lock them in the photo studio for a bit to shoot some photos for our up coming ad campaign.Adam Virs, who’s the proud father of a new baby boy, dropped in on us early this morning and we nailed a few pretty classic shots. Much thanks to the boys at Skullcandy for hooking up the coolest headphones ever made which just happen to match perfectly with our rasta colored Shark Classic otherwise known as the Raddest watch ever! Now get off the computer and go outside!

Congratulations to Freestyle Skater’s Mike O’FrielSkyler Siljeg and Darin Jenkins for being invited to the 2008 Pro-Tec Pool Party to be held on Thursday, May 15 - 4 PM at the Vans Skatepark at the Block in Orange, California. We wish them luck as the qualifier is stacked with some heavy hitters. If you are in the southern California come on down and support the team! Here’s a TOTALLY rad shout out to Revolt Magazine and bikini model Emily Tisdale for rocking the Shark Classic 80’s cyan in the Volume 23, Issue 4.We highly recommend you pick up an issue on the double as there’s an incredible 8 page’s of gorgeous bikini ladies in this sucker. Collin Harrington has been riding for Freestyle for over 6 years. He started out on the flow program and just continued to step it up year after year, he got a bunch of solid sponsors, got a bunch of exposure in Wakeboarding and Alliance Wakeboard Magazines, and eventually Collin was moved up the Freestyle Pro Team. Now a lot of you guys want to just immediately be on flow or get paid, but you got to be realistic about your riding level.You got to earn it. If you’re a guy complaining about not being on flow you’re also a guy who’s not fully concentrating on your performance. Just ask Collin, his performance speaks louder than any words. Wow this hits close to home. Our hearts and prayers go out this poor guy and his family. Freestyle headquarters is only about an hour away from Solana Beach, I’ve surfed there several times. Usually I hit Seaside Reef, but I have surfed in the area that this poor guy got attacked. This is the first attack I’ve ever heard of in Southern California??? Just gnarly, makes you wonder how many are out there. Time to start stacking up the good karma points, this is no joke. For more information on this attack check out SURFERMAG.COM
