PhotoShoot w/ Andrew Doheny
Thursday, December 13th, 2007Sometimes things just work out perfect. On our way to lunch, Nick and I were discussing which grom to feature in the Surfer Magazine Hot 100 ad. We have a tight crew of solid young athletes like Nat Young, Andrew Doheny and Sage Erickson all who are deserving of the ad. But as luck and timing would have it, as we entered the Catalina Fish Kitchen, there was Andrew inhaling a few fish tacos with Chad Towersey. We took it as fate, Android was our grom for the ad! We sat down to each with the boys discussing Droid’s antics at Rincon, a never ending nightmare of fending off all the long boarding kooks that catch all the waves but can’t surf. Man that wave is so good, but you can go crazy trying to get a good one all to your self. Anyways, back to the story, we end up kidnapping Andrew for a quick afternoon photoshoot in the studio featuring the killer new Shark Classic 80’s. Here are some samples of Andrew’s best Zoolander!

So we got half our job done for Andrew’s ad. Now time for the action! Good thing there was a clean little swell with perfect conditions down at 54. Andrew gave us the call and we jetted down to capture the action.

Introducing the final product! After some photoshop magic and fancy graphic work, Andrew’s Shark Classic 80’s ad has come to life. Go get you some!
