The Freestyle Blog

Welcome to the Official Blog for Freestyle and Shark Watches.
Featuring mind benders, funny sh*t, amazing rides, crazy people, behind the scenes shenanigans and anything and everything that keeps the Freestyle office a buzz. We may not play the same sport or have the same passions, we may not have the same gender, religion or faith, we may not live in the same country, city, or state, but we all spend our days breathing, bleeding and sweating the same way. At the end of the day it's all about performance and together we are Freestyle, we are performance timing, and this is our blog.

Pro Skiier Brett Buckles rocks the Rasta Shark

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

So I headed out to Colorado to visit my girlfriends parents over memorial weekend, you know kind of like “Meet the Fockers” minus all the focking problems portrayed in the movie. It was a great time, the parents were cool and I got to meet a friend of my girlfriends named Brett Buckles. Brett’s a former pro skier who is all about shredding. She’s got a darn cool name I must say, but even cooler is that she rocks rasta colors on just about everything, her phone, her sunglasses from the 80’s, and even her steering wheel. It just so happened that I was wearing the Rasta Shark during the trip and I couldn’t help but to give it to her. Good to meet you Brett, and thanks for making the trip rad!

Freestyle Team Manager makes surprise appearance on OC Grom Project

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Just in case you were wondering if the crew at Freestyle actually surfs or skates or whatever, here’s your proof.Freestyle’s Team Manager Chad LaBass snuck out for a lunch time session last week and scored a clip on the OC Grom Project, starring Freestyle Pro Surfer Andrew Doheny. Watch as Chad scores the wave of the day and then heckles Andrew for not having stickers on his board or a watch on his wrist. Lesson #1: Always have stickers on your boards and a watch on your wrist because you never know when the Team Manager is going to show up! Word!

Introducing Clifford, the Raddest little wakeboarding dog in the world

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

I think we are going to adopt this little guy as the Freestyle mascot as long Melissa Marquardt will allow us. Clifford is Melissa’s sidekick, they wakeboard together, seriously Clifford hangs out on the boat and makes sure she is shredding. If Melissa has a bad run you wouldn’t believe how loud Clifford barks, he’s a real motivator. Right on Clifford, way to keep Melissa in check! Freestyle out!
