Welcome to the Official Blog for Freestyle and Shark Watches.
Featuring mind benders, funny sh*t, amazing rides, crazy people, behind the scenes shenanigans and anything and everything that keeps the Freestyle office a buzz. We may not play the same sport or have the same passions, we may not have the same gender, religion or faith, we may not live in the same country, city, or state, but we all spend our days breathing, bleeding and sweating the same way. At the end of the day it's all about performance and together we are Freestyle, we are performance timing, and this is our blog.

Saturday, October 25th 2008, from about 9:45 to 10:15: So since my leg is all busted up, can’t surf or anything, I borrowed and video camera and started filming and learning to edit. In Newport there’s no better place to catch some good action then The Wedge. It was really cool too see everybody charging, bodysurfers, bodyboarders, surfers, skimmers, everybody just going for broke. So I came up with the name No Known Allergies. You see, the ocean is the great equalizer, she doesn’t care what you ride, if you charge you charge, and it’s about time to give respect to those who do.
Talk about showing up and blowing up! Just a year after taking out the Coldwater Pro Jr. Title in 2007, Nat Young stepped it up and took down a heavy field of top pros to claim the 2008 O’Neill Coldwater Classic crown. At the young age of 17, Nat’s performance was a real eye opener; his backhand attack ala Occy and Bobby Martinez is phenomenal and will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come. Congratulations, Nat! Thanks for showing them what time it is!
Back in our blog post about Hurricane Ike, you may remember we said Cory Lopez was out of town on a secret mission. Well here’s the proof, somewhere in Africa, watch Cory’s first wave at epic Skeleton Bay.
Ya it’s that easy, grab a flip cam for $150, film a ripping skater like Sky Siljeg, and edit in imovie. Sky was in town for Etneis GvR, but we made some time on Sunday Morning to hit up the Costa Mesa Skate Park to get some shots of sky and the new blk/blu/yel Shark. Nick13, as usual, nailed it!
