The Mammoth Wall Ride Session - Preview

What do you get when you have a ton of snow, a Mammoth unbound park staffer, some wood, spray paint, tools and an imagination? A Freestyle backyard bonanza! We were actually headed up to Mammoth for a little R&R, but when we contacted shredder and park staffer Patrick Waddell , the wheels started turning and the ultimate backyard wall ride was brought to life. We love this kind of stuff, and to our surprise these guy’s went the extra mile, painting the feature in our latest Shark Classic Colors! So here’s just sneak peak, we’ll have a heap of photos and a rad little video coming next week or whenever we finish editing. Here’s to not sitting on your butt and to going out there and making something happen like these guys!

Rick Thorne rocking Freestyle on cover of Obscene Magazine

Dropping you the 411 on our friend and industry vet Rick Thorne, who just recently landed on the cover of Obscene Magazine rocking the Freestyle Velvet Shark. No doubt you’ve seen Rick shredding BMX on TV or in the movies, including his part in the recent blockbuster, Mall Cop. We’re not sure how he does it, but he’s also got time to play in his band, Good Guys in Black, and have a radio show on ESPN Action Sports Podcasts. Speaking of that, subscribe to the ESPN Podcast Feed so you can catch an interview featuring Freestyle’s Chad LaBass talking about what’s going down in freestyle town. Thanks again Rick, you rock!

Don’t get pinched this St. Patricks Day!

That’s right folks, everybody’s favorite holiday is right around the corner. Next Tuesday, March 17th 2009 is St. Patrick’s Day and we are getting ready to introduce the Ultimate Leprechaun powered by his Lucky Green Shark Watch. Arguably the raddest leprechaun on the planet, this elusive irishman skates, surfs and snowboards to keep himself from being captured in Leprechaun Traps such as Skosh Monahan’s Irish Pub.
