The Freestyle Blog

Welcome to the Official Blog for Freestyle and Shark Watches.
Featuring mind benders, funny sh*t, amazing rides, crazy people, behind the scenes shenanigans and anything and everything that keeps the Freestyle office a buzz. We may not play the same sport or have the same passions, we may not have the same gender, religion or faith, we may not live in the same country, city, or state, but we all spend our days breathing, bleeding and sweating the same way. At the end of the day it's all about performance and together we are Freestyle, we are performance timing, and this is our blog.

The rise of the Megalodon

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Based on the lore of the giant prehistoric Shark, we humbly introduce the Freestyle Megalodon, an oversized 48mm monster case to help you take a bite out of your fashion woes. Fortunately, we aren’t just tooting our own horns, ESPN Action Sports just picked it as one of the 10 Best gear items under $100 in their online feature, Re-Session Gear. Definitely worth a look next time you’re at your favorite shop.

Freestyle Flashback Friday #1

Friday, April 17th, 2009

Lately with all these brands jumping on the retro bandwagon we thought we’d start dropping some authentic knowledge. We all know it’s easy to be a bandwagoner, but it’s hard to be the the real deal. As you can see the Shark Watch is OG!

Farewell to the Southern California Winter

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Mid April, as it is every year, is inevitably the end of snow season in SoCal. Sure a few resorts are maintaining their slurpy like slopes with a few features and kickers, but for the most part our eyes are turning back to the pacific. In celebration of the change of seasons we have a farewell snow video to release tomorrow from a late season mini-sesh at Mt. Baldy. So here’s to the end of winter and the onset of spring and pumping south swells! It’s time to put away your Altimeter and put on your Tide Watch.
