The Freestyle Blog

Welcome to the Official Blog for Freestyle and Shark Watches.
Featuring mind benders, funny sh*t, amazing rides, crazy people, behind the scenes shenanigans and anything and everything that keeps the Freestyle office a buzz. We may not play the same sport or have the same passions, we may not have the same gender, religion or faith, we may not live in the same country, city, or state, but we all spend our days breathing, bleeding and sweating the same way. At the end of the day it's all about performance and together we are Freestyle, we are performance timing, and this is our blog.

Police shakedown at Cory Lopez photo shoot

We had some excitement in Freestyle land last night during our shoot with Cory. We wanted to get a shot with an airport/airplane in the backdrop to go along with Cory’s new signature world time watch, The Lopex III, coming out this October. Of course, we realized airport security is pretty tight since 911, so we found a cul-de-sac near an Airport that ran up to near the runway. There were no signs warning us this street was off limits or that we were violating any laws so we just started setting up the camera equipment. Then, in blink of an eye we had 3 Sheriffs burning rubber in our direction, barricading us in with their police vehicles, seriously putting the shut down on our operation. Anyways, with some smooth talking it ended up cool, they simply ran our licenses to make sure we weren’t bad guys, asked for Cory’s autograph and gave us the OK to finish up the shoot. The shot below is the result; you’ll see something like this in the new Fall 2009 Catalog.
