Rollerblading…NO!
Wasn’t rollerblading an X-games sport about 10 years ago? Poor sport can’t catch a break. Even Vin Diesel hung up his blades long ago, and now the most interesting man in the world has condemned the act. Can rollerblading be saved? Should it be saved? Time will tell my friends…

I like rollerblading but it don’t do anything for me as a spectator.

What does that old guy know? He’s just a random actor in Dos Equis new advertising campaign aimed at trying to revive their diminishing sales. Dos Equis is a crappy beer. Rollerblading is rad! Check out Chris Haffey, Erik Bailey, Alex Broskow, Victor Arias, and Vinny Minton on youtube! These guys are still killing it on blades regardless of its public image!

Nah… Rollerblading became uncool at the turn of the new decade. Now rollerblades only belong on car-hops at Sonic.

Inline skateing is the shiz its f*ckin sick

You guys disappoint me. I’m all for jokes, but if you’re gonna hate on something at least have good reasons to back it up. Most people say rollerblade and think of spandex wearing sidewalk rolling lameness. But that’s not rollerblading. The level of freestyle rollerblading progresses faster than most actions sports because yes… the skates are attached to the rider’s feet. Can anyone else spin 720 into a grind and 540 out? Or backflip to grind? You guys just aren’t exposed to the good stuff because inline is much much smaller than other action sports.
I used to think Freestyle was worth my money, but you guys just lost a fan.

I thought roller blading was for kooks, but who knows it could make a comeback
October 1st, 2009 at 9:42 am
i think the reason why its not in x games anymore is because it just not as exiting as other action sports its and isnt it supposed to be for going around in circle on a hardwood floor?
October 1st, 2009 at 4:15 pm
i dont like it is seems like walking with wheels on ur feet whats the point?????
October 1st, 2009 at 10:05 pm
Rollerblading is only fun if your watching them get huge airs or eating it.

When I used to roller blade I enjoyed it, I think it could be revivied with a LOT of work and some new faces that can bring a new feel to the sport.

I think so many sports should be in the X-games such as roller blading, skimboarding, and many others that are not well know and i would say yes. Put it in the X-games make people try new sports instead of the ones that our already out there for instance i skimboard and i shred big time at thousand steps in laguna beach but still no one knows what skimboarding even is they think its sliding on sand and thats it well its not and everyone thinks rollerblading is just moving on wheels well its not theres plenty of guys busting mad trick on those things and so i say YESSS!!!!

ahhh rubbish! rollerblading has never gotten the attention that it deserves.. kind of like girls surfing i guess..
I used to inline for years and after years of not doing it, I still have a ton of respect for it!

I think rollerblading is sick in its own way but it gets old fast, for me to go watch rollerblading on the x games or what not, you priety much know what there going to throw down . I used to rollerblade in 7th grade i had the USD stakes and all that and was full tilt, kinda like Pro Snowboarder Aaron Bittner he used to do the same. I switched to Skateboarding and have never gone back, skateboarding is more challenging and it never gets old, much like snowboarding or surfing.

I think roller blading is just kinda lame
October 4th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
Send them ALL to SONIC so i can tip them a quarter
October 5th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
I agree with Big Eddie, and rollerblading use to be more cooler back in the day… but its never going to be as popular or as entertaining as skateboarding & BMX… A lot of people still rollerblade at Venice Beach, California. “To Each Is Own”

No.
October 6th, 2009 at 7:42 am
rollerblading should be saved. its fun and easy to learn and its fun to watch.
October 8th, 2009 at 6:55 am
all of you haters out there that have no respect for inline skating are idiots. i used to skateboard and i was pretty good but blading is so much harder and actually requires skill bc ur grind plates are less than inches wide. on a skateboard u got the whole freekin board!!!! bladers also got way more BALLS than sk8rs 2 bc u can bail on a skateboard and look like a poser but on blades you have to go for it or you eat it. so you decide wats cool im all for BLADING!!!!!!!!!!

fruit booting is gay the most interesting man in the world even thinks so
October 20th, 2009 at 1:08 pm
First off before you can say anything go watch a brian aragon section or chris haffey. then ask yourself if you can do what they do and everybody together now…. no you cant. So before you hate ask yourself one thing “can i do that” and most of the time it will be no. So lets all hop on the bandwagon sell out and hate on a sport that you know nothing about. while your hating you mine as well hate on snowboarding or any sport where you attach something to your feet. Lets see snowboarding and rollerblading similarities- both attached, both slide down handrails, both spin through the air, and on and on. So hate if that makes you feel better about yourself. But remember every sport is hard and most likely you cant do what they do.
