Bede Durbidge, pronounced “Bead” not “Be D”, hails from North Stradbroke Island, Australia but now resides on the Gold Coast. Formerly considered a dark horse for the World Title, Bede Durbidge has shed that title by finishing in the top 5 in each of the past 3 years. He is the silent assassin, calmly and coolly dismantling heat after heat, opponent after opponent until he is now considered a legitimate title threat year after year. His cool demeanor and unbelievable surfing connected him with Freestyle, and in April 2010 we have launched his signature watch, The Durbo - the only watch in the world with an integrated fin key.
