My order has not arrived when expected. What should I do?
The first thing to do is to check the tracking information on your package. You will find the tracking information in the confirmation of shipment email you received. Please keep in mind that all delivery time frames listed on the website are estimates provided by each delivery carrier. These time frames are not guaranteed unless specifically noted at a guaranteed service.
I received a message that my package was delivered but it's not here. What should I do?
Receipt of this message indicates that the package was scanned as delivered by the carrier. Sometimes the post office will scan packages as delivered prior to them actually being delivered, but they usually make the delivery within a day or two. If your delivery is through USPS then we suggest contacting your mail carrier or local post office with your tracking number to see if they can help you track it down. They should be able to give you the location where it was scanned and the name of your mail person and how to contact them. If the delivery is via FedEx or DHL we recommend contacting them to notify them that the package was not actually delivered and see if they can provide additional information on the delivery location. If you are not able to locate the package please contact us for assistance.
Orders that include Protect are eligible for reshipping or a refund if the package is not received. File a Protect claim.
I entered the wrong address. Can I change it?
If your watch hasn't shipped, we can change the address. Just send us a message. If the package has already been shipped, we cannot redirect it. Freestyle is not responsible for, nor able to refund or replace orders shipped to an incorrect address.
I received a message that my package could not be delivered and has been returned to sender. Can it be reshipped?
Yes, we'd love to reship your package. However, there will be a reshipping charge and we may ask for an alternate address.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes. There may be taxes, duties and/or VAT costs applied by customs towards your order before the delivery of your package. These charges are not inclusive of the original shipping amount and will not be paid for or reimbursed by Freestyle. If you refuse the order, you will not be refunded by Freestyle.
Undelivered packages
If your package is returned to Freestyle marked as undeliverable or return to sender, a reshipping fee will be required or your order will be refunded.
Incorrect Addresses
Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping address and are encouraged to check them prior to submitting an order. Once a package has been shipped we cannot redirect it. Freestyle is not responsible for, nor able to refund or replace orders shipped to an incorrect address.
Returned/Refused Orders
If you would like to cancel an order that has been refused or returned to us, the original shipping cost will be deducted from your refund amount.

Eligible items on Domestic orders $50 and over are eligible for free return shipping. Domestic items less than $50 do not qualify for free returns. You will be responsible for the return shipping cost, the amount will be deducted from your refund.
How will I be refunded?
Refunds are to the original form of payment.
Can I exchange my watch for something else?
During the return process, select "Exchange" as your reason. Be sure to include the style # and name of the watch you would like in exchange. Any difference in price will be charged or refunded.
Can I exchange my strap or part for something else?
Items under $50 are not eligible for exchanges. You may choose between a refund to the original form of payment or a store credit which can be used to purchase something else.
The item I purchased was on sale. Can I still return it?
Items purchased on sale/using a discount code are final sale and non-returnable.

All patches and sticker packs are Final Sale and non-returnable.
Prepaid Return Shipping Labels
Prepaid return labels may only be used once. Limit 1 prepaid return shipping label per order. The label is ONLY to be used to return the order for which it was created.
Return Packaging
Returns are processed through USPS, so please package your return carefully in a box or bubble mailer to avoid any damage during return shipment. Any postage due or damages incurred from improper packaging will be deducted from the refund amount.
Non-Qualifying Returns
Returns that show ANY type of signs of wear, damage, or scents will NOT be accepted and will be sent back to the customer at their expense. A $5.00 restocking fee will be withheld from any return received without its original packaging.
Shipping Charges and Gift Cards
All shipping charges, gift cards, and store credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Lost / Damaged Returns
We are not responsible for lost/damaged returns or packages. It is your responsibility to follow all directions - if the package is sent back to you with postage due it is your responsibility; Freestyle will not reimburse additional charges.
Any falsely filed chargebacks will be subject to a $10 fee. This fee covers the cost of refuting an invalid chargeback.
False Claims
False claims regarding defective pieces will result in the piece being returned to the customer at the customer's expense.

Leash: The shark leash's velcro closure system is modeled after an 80's style surfboard leash. Dense nylon pile fits between two straps of nylon hooks to fasten securely to your wrist.

Hydro Pusher is our name for our water resistant buttons which means you can press the buttons under water without the watch flooding.
Ratcheting Bezel
Our unidirectional, ratcheting bezel allows for an easier reading of elapsed time and ensures that if the bezel is accidentally moved, the time already spent underwater would be indicated as longer than actually spent, preventing the diver from assuming he has more time than he does.
Screw Down Crown
As with most steel dive watches, our dive watches are equipped with what is called a “screw down crown.” The crown is unscrewed in a counter-clockwise direction until it disengages from the case and then gently pulled out slightly until it engages the movement to set the time and date like most analog watches. Once the watch is set it is critical that the stem is pushed back in to reengage the movement and that the crown is screwed back down in a clockwise direction until tight to ensure that water does not enter the case when the watch is in water.
Date Window
The date window on our Freestyle watches displays the day of the month.
The three dials on a chronograph watch show how many seconds are passing within a minute, how many minutes are passing within an hour, and the number of hours passing within a 24 hour period.
Tide Data Built In
Built in tide charts predict high and low tide forecasts.
Sunrise / Sunset
Built in feature predicts sunrise and sunset forecasts.

What is a hydro pusher?

Can I wear my watch in the hot tub?
No, if you love your watch do not wear it in a hot tub! The combination of extreme heat and water will damage the seal and the watch will leak.
My watch has condensation inside. What should I do?
Sometimes condensation can form when going from one temperature extreme to another for example, air conditioning to a hot summer day. However, if this occurs after being in water, we recommend you send your watch in to our repair center.

How long does a battery last?
Typically, batteries last 1-2 years depending on the watch's functions (tide, alarms, stopwatch, vibration, etc.) and how often those functions are being used.
Can a local jeweler change the battery in my watch?

How do I clean my strap?
All Freestyle nylon and polyester watchbands are made from the highest quality material. They are washable in warm water with a mild liquid soap. Please be aware of the water resistance for your model prior to washing. If the water resistance is less than 5 ATM H20 it is recommended to remove the band prior to washing. For stubborn stains, scrub with a washcloth and rinse thoroughly.

How do I install my Apple Watch™ strap?

When you insert the adapter into the watch you should hear a soft click as the adapter locks into place. You should not be able to slide the adapter out without pressing the release button on the back of the watch.

How do I remove my Apple Watch™ strap from the adapters?
The easiest way to remove the strap from the adapter is to get a small paperclip and push the end of it into the little hole that is on the side of the adapter. This will depress the end of the spring bar and allow you to pull it out of the adapter. Just remove and reattach the adapter with the silver magnet facing towards the back of the watch and you should be all set.
How do I know what size strap will fit my wrist?

What are adapters and do I have to buy them?
Adapters are used to connect the strap to the Apple Watch™. If you are attaching an Apple strap to an Apple Watch™, the adapters are required.
Can I use any Freestyle strap on my Apple Watch™?
The straps designated as APPLE WATCH™ STRAPS are the only Freestyle straps that fit with the larger Apple Watch™ (42/44/45/49MM). The Shark Classic clip straps and two-piece leash straps can be used with the smaller Apple Watch™ (38/40/41MM), however, please note that only the straps designated as Apple Watch™ Straps have been tested with the adapters. If you choose to use the straps on a non-Apple Watch™ you should be sure to follow the manufacturers recommendations regarding attachment of the strap.

What is a limited lifetime warranty?

Freestyle warrants, to the original purchaser of a watch purchased from an authorized Freestyle retailer, a limited lifetime warranty that its watches are free from defects in materials and workmanship. The following are not covered under warranty: battery, case, strap/bracelet/band and crystal. Accidental loss, breakage or damage due to normal wear or misuse of the product, including but not limited to the mathematical accuracy of the product, is not covered under this warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusions of or limitations on consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state.

Under this warranty Freestyle will either repair or replace (at the repair center's discretion) your watch at no cost for the repaired parts or labor. There will, however, be a nominal charge for the cost of shipping and handling your watch back to you. You will be responsible for the cost of any repair needed that is not covered under the warranty. Proof of purchase and/or original receipt from an authorized Freestyle retailer is needed to validate your warranty.

If the watch case is opened by anyone other than an authorized Freestyle repair center, the warranty is voided. Any other form of guarantee to you by the retailer is their responsibility. This warranty applies to watches purchased in the United States. For watches purchased outside the United States, please contact your local authorized Freestyle dealer for warranty information.

I purchased a watch 10 years ago with a printed instruction of a 2 year warranty. I see the warranty is now limited lifetime. Which warranty apples to my watch?
The Limited Lifetime Warranty only applies to watches purchased after 2007, so if your watch was discontinued or purchased prior to that time, it is covered under the warranty in place at that time as noted in your instruction manual. We do still offer repair services for out of warranty watches at a reasonable cost If you have an issue with your watch we would recommend contacting us to see about getting it repaired Repair Watch
Does the warranty cover a lost watch?
Loss is not covered under our Limited Lifetime Warranty. We cannot replace lost watches. Please see our Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Do I have to have proof of purchase to repair my watch under warranty?
Yes, proof of purchase from an authorized Freestyle seller is required for warranty repairs.

How Do I Redeem My Shark Points?
To turn Shark Points into a reward, you will need to log into your account on From the homepage click on the rewards present icon located at the bottom left to open the rewards panel. Click on All rewards
If you don't have enough points to redeem, you will see a progress bar on the right, next to the reward name.
Note: All customers, including those who earn Shark Points as a guest, will need to create an account to redeem their points. If you already have an account, please click log in. If you need to create an account please register with the email you placed your order with.

How do I know if I my Freestyle Tide watch needs to be upgraded?
You only need to upgrade if you use the Tide functions, and your tide data has expired. If you try to use the tide function and receive the error message “No Tide Data for the Date” your tide data has most likely expired. If you hold down all five buttons for 6-8 seconds to reset the watch and the same message still appears when you try to access the tide information, your tide data has expired. If your style number is listed, you can upgrade if you want the new features available in the Tide 600 Series.
Can my Freestyle Tide watch be upgraded?
We can update certain models manufactured within the last 15 years with a new tide module to update expired tide data as well as add new features included in the new Tide 600 Series watches. You can check your style/model number from the backside case of the watch against the list of models below to see if your watch is eligible for an upgrade.

How much does the Tide Module Upgrade cost?
The module upgrade cost is $50 for most watches; however, we are offering a limited time discount program for recent Tide watch purchases, available with proof of purchase for watches purchased at full retail price from or another authorized Freestyle dealer as noted below:
  • $15 discount for purchases in 2018 – 2019
  • $25 discount for purchases in 2020 – 2021
How do I pay for the Tide Module Upgrade?
Please do not send payment with your watch, we will send you an invoice with a link to a secure website where you can pay thru PayPal or with a credit card. Once payment is received your watch will be sent out within one business day. We do not accept checks, if you send a check with your watch, it will be shredded for your safety and security.
Can I purchase a new Tide 600 Series watch instead of upgrading my existing watch?
Yes you can purchase any of our new Tide 600 Series watches through our website at, or from an authorized Freestyle dealer.
Can I get the other parts of my watch repaired when they are upgrading the module?
Yes, we're happy to refurbish/repair other parts of your watch while it is in our repair center for the module upgrade. Subject to parts availability, here are some options and their costs:
  • Replace strap - $25
  • Replace watch case - $25
  • Replace bezel only - $7.5
How long does the Tide Module Upgrade process take?
We will try to complete the module upgrade as quickly as possible, but please allow 3-4 weeks for your watch to be upgraded and tested in addition to transit time. You will be notified when the upgrade process is complete and you'll receive an invoice via email to pay online. Once the invoice is paid, your watch will be shipped out within one business day.
How do I get my Tide watch Upgraded?
Our module upgrade program requests are initiated through our automated repair process. This process can be accessed by clicking this link Click to Begin Repair Process. Please read the welcome page - which explains the step-by-step process. Please select Tide Module Upgrade as the type of repair and complete all of the requested information, including your phone number, email and mailing address where you would like the watch to be returned. Please do not include any payment or checks in the package, you will be invoiced via email when the upgrade is completed, and you can make the payment online through our secure payment portal at that time.
IMPORTANT: in the ISSUE DETAIL box, please let us know the model number from the back of your watch, as well as the order number/name on the order if it was purchased from our website or, if it was purchased elsewhere, where and when the watch was purchased and if you have proof of purchase. If you would like any additional repairs done to the watch while it's in for the upgrade, please note those in the ISSUE DETAIL box as well.
Follow it all the way through until the end where it will tell you that you are “all done.” Please scroll down to the bottom of the page to make sure there are no more green "Next" buttons to click on. You will receive a confirmation email of your repair ticket within 48-72 hours that you should print and include with your watch when you send it to our repair center at 2701 E State Highway 121 Suite 650 Lewisville TX 75056. Please pack your watch carefully and we strongly recommend sending it through a shipping method that offers package tracking and insure for the package for the value you place on it as we are not responsible for losses from packages that are not received or lost by the carrier.
Although we will attempt to complete your upgrade as quickly as possible, please allow 3-4 weeks for completion of the process.
