We've always loved Field Notes notebooks, but when we came across the Expedition edition notebooks they hit the bullseye with us here at Freestyle! We love the water, and things that can be used in and around it - it's what we do and who we are. This awesome notebook delivers a waterproof and tearproof notebook that can hang with us during all of our adventures.
Aesthetically, you’ll find a hi-visibility “Antarctic Survey Orange” front cover and “Polar Night Black” back cover, with a subtle varnish effect featuring a topographic map of Antarctica. The body pages feature their popular dot-graph paper printed in light gray.
But the real innovation here is the paper. It’s maybe not even fair to call it paper. The whole book is printed on Yupo Synthetic paper,, opens in a new tab an amazing tearproof and waterproof paper extruded from polypropylene pellets in Chesapeake, Virginia. Months of development and testing were required to get these books just right and the result is nothing short of awesome!
The majority of our customers may not test the limits of these notebooks, but the map of Antarctica is neither hyperbole nor coincidence. They sent the Expedition edition to the South Pole with explorer Ben Saunders as he and his team attempted to retrace Captain Robert Falcon Scott’s ill-fated journey to the Pole and back, on foot and unsupported.
Note: Synthetic paper is nonporous and doesn’t absorb ink like our conventional papers. Ballpoint pens, pencils, or fine tip Sharpies work best.

I needed a break from my smart watch and this lil watch is both saving my sanity AND making me really happy. It’s lightweight, perfect for an active lifestyle, cute as heck and now I want one in like four other colors. It’s already been on hikes, gone swimming and paddle boarding and is so easy to set and live with. Love it, I’m so glad I went with Freestyle!
I absolutely love this watch and the Cement colorway. It’s the classic Shark Watch design that surfers have trusted for decades.
I’ve been a loyal Shark Watch customer since 1987. In 2023, my son joined his high school surf team, and I bought him his first Shark Watch. That reintroduced me to the brand, and I ended up buying one for myself as well (Black Octopus-leash). Recently, when I saw the Cement clip model, I knew I had to have it.
The quality is excellent, it’s comfortable, durable, and perfect for surfing or everyday wear. Shark Watches stood the test of time back in 1987, and they still stand the test of time today. It’s great to see a brand stay true to what made it special while continuing to deliver a quality product.
I picked up the Octopus Black limited edition a couple days ago and I’m genuinely impressed. This watch nails that perfect mix of fun, rugged style and everyday practicality.
What I Love:
Design & Build: The black-and-white octopus pattern on the strap is absolutely killer — it looks premium and stands out without being flashy. The watch case feels solid and well-made, with a nice chunky digital display that’s super easy to read. The “Night Vision” backlight works great in low light.
Comfort: Surprisingly lightweight for how tough it looks. The strap is soft, flexible, and adjustable. I’ve worn it all day (work, gym, beach) and it never irritates my wrist.
Water Resistance: It says 300 FT and I’ve already tested it in the ocean and pool — zero issues. Perfect for someone who actually uses their watch in water.
Value: At $70 this is an absolute steal. The quality feels closer to watches twice the price.
Minor Notes:
The buttons have a bit of a clicky feel (which I actually like), and the display is big and clear, though the interface is pretty basic — no smart features, which is exactly what I wanted in a beater watch.

Very versatile and stylish watch! I love the colors, and I love the features it has. Better than being distracted by a smart watch. I personally love the simplicity of a good old fashioned watch, and this is perfect for me!
I started my journey as a watch wearer before a summer camp where I wasn’t allowed a phone, so naturally I needed another device to tell the time and set my morning alarm. I ended up with a $10 Walmart special and it worked, but wasn’t anything too great. Upgrading to my Shark Watch has been life changing! It’s so easy to set the time, and I love all the different modes it has! With being so active in the summer, I don’t have to worry about my watch getting broken either, the quality is great! I can’t wait to use it in the water as well. I also adore the colors on this watch, it’s the cherry on top of an amazing product! 10/10 would recommend this watch to anyone looking for a quality piece!
I love this watch! The color and size are perfect, and it’s comfortable enough to wear everyday. It’s waterproof, versatile, and the military time feature is especially useful when traveling overseas. Got this watch for my wife for her birthday and it hasn't come off her wrist since. it's a breath of fresh air from all of these smart watches that constantly bother you throughout the day every time a notification or email comes through.
